My clients are diversifying their portfolios and acquiring "hard assets". In a word...DIAMONDS.
Our clients are 50 plus and tired of watching the world go by without enjoying it. They travel and go community work, but they reward their efforts with gold and diamonds. This week alone, I've got calls for several two and three carat diamonds and my job is to go fetch and bring home the prettiest diamond for the best price.
As the self proclaimed "DIAMOND DIVAS", we consider it our duty to help you through all the certificates, gemstone lingo and for lack of a better description..."who-ha". I don't want to see a repeat of the early 1980's when people were buying 1.00 carat round D flawless diamonds for $ 65,000.00. Kinda hard to believe now, but it's true! And I'll betcha that right now somewhere, there is someone thinking about how they can turn this crisis into a proverbial "gold mine" sprinkled with sparkly diamonds.
It really is sad that the gold buyers are scarfing up heirloom jewelry, scraping the metal and selling off the stones, but to the solvent go the spoils.
Once again the crusading Divas are at your service. We've been able to broker a few sales
of heirlooms over EBAY and to private buyers, although we need to remember this is more of a courtesy to our clients and not something we want to pursue on a regular basis....but I never say never, so keep watching this site!
