I had a lot of replies to my recent lost and stolen jewelry blog. So here goes...if you have something lost or stolen and want to list it here.. go right ahead and do it. With all our readers and jeweler friends, maybe we can help.
We'll take this one step at a time and see how it works best, but for starters, just post a response and I'll publish it.

The Diamond Diva

I just had some jewlery stolen from my husbands closet. Most of this was very specail and family heirlooms. My mom's diamond ring 1 ct. solitare set in 6 progns platnim with adustable figerhut on the ring. Along with that her jacket ring to weat with the diamont has three diamons in a triangle shape on both sides.
Diamond earrings like a small flower, her pear and diamond ring set in white gold, an unusal globe of the world about the size of a large gumball 18K with allthe world sketched on it. All the places visited on this globe have a semi-previous stone where the location is, along with a 24" thick rope chain. Her St. Francis DePaula medals which she wore her whole life and I wore them when travelling. My dad pocketwatch 18K pinkgolf octogon shape ingraved, a saphire stone ring with small stone oblong 14k gold, my pearls from my wedding day 49 years ago, as well as my husbands Movado Watch of gold and silver.
These are not replaceable. My heart is broken as I wanted these to be passed down in our family. I am devasted some low life would do something like this. Can any one give me recommendatons on where to look and what to do. I have filed a police report today and they said they will put a dective on the this case...regards,

i had my High Point Regional high school ring from NJ stolen only a month after I bought it. It was 18k gold with a real emerald in it. It has the "Wildcats" logo. I knew who stold it, but could never do anything about it. Then I lost my 18k gold band my grandmother gave me. It had Frances inside. It feel down a well at a place called Drews Tavern in Glenwood NJ. I would love to have them back. I pray I will someday.

2 family heirlooms lost:
Silver oval picture frame brooch with a picture of my great grandfather in it. Scalloped silver around the edge. About 1 inch in length and a half inch in width.
Large opal teardrop pendant. Flat stone in a yellow gold setting Large for an opal, about an inch long. This piece has a lot of sentimental value, given to me by my mother. I believe I may have lost it in Long Island, NY.

I live in Lexington Kentucky, in late July 2010 I went on vacation and when I got home I realized that some jewelry was missing. Thru out the house I have jewelry boxes with some really nice stuff, some expensive costume jewelry in display cases and Ihid a few irreplacable items in my closet, a ring my grandfather gave me, my moms wedding rings and a few other items. I have 3 dogs and had someone stopping by daily to feed them, but someone managed to get in, bypassed all the obvious stuff, went to the closet and stoled my moms rings. My mom passed away 3 years ago, she had those rings for over 45 years, and now they are gone, taken by a piece of crap thief that knew exactly what they were after and where to find it. I only showed two people the ring so the thief was someone I trusted and considered a friend, who else would enter a home with 3 barking dogs, bypass all the stuff right out in the open and go search the closet? Anyway, the ring is white gold, one decent sized diamond and 32 small diamonds, the big diamond is in the center with the smaller ones forming a slight arch, it is almost in the shape of an eye, the wedding ring is a single arched row but is welded to the engagement ring, or how ever they connect them and you can see where they are joined, size 4 1/2 or 5. I can't find a picture right now, but if you happen to come across a ring that sound similar, please contact me. Thank you!

My family home in Mansfield, CT was robbed last week and my entire jewelry box was stolen. The most important items I'm trying to recover are mother/daughter tanzanite & white gold rings (with a designed engraving on the bands). My mother just passed away unexpectedly on Christmas morning, so these items are invaluable. I'm not sure if anyone can help me with tracking stolen jewelry in CT, but thought it was worth a shot.

A had a diamond cocktail ring (size 4) (white gold or platinum) stolen a few years ago. It was my grandmothers and so dear to me. It was a floral pattern...I've never seen anything like it.
I also had a pair of dangle garnet earrings stolen.
Both had belonged to my great grandmother and were antiques...
I've always wondered how to track them down. Especially the ring, since I know exactly where it was stolen and what time. I only lost it for about 10 min before it was taken...Thanks!

PLEASE HELP ME!!!
I live in the DFW area and all of my jewelry was stolen in December 2007/January 2008. I realize the chances of me finding it are minimal, but I can't seem to give up. I have been searching the web almost every month since then hoping I will be lucky enough to track down at least one piece. The majority of my jewelry was passed down in my family and not only has monetary value, it is also has great personal value. These are one of a kind pieces, so if someone recognizes them from this posting, please contact me so I can have the police follow up. 1) Vintage Ruby Cocktail Ring - Shaped like a rose with 18 rubys and 1 diamond in the middle. It is set in Yellow Gold which is greatly defined on the petals. 2) Vintage Genie Slipper Pendant - Set in Yellow Gold with a ruby cluster ball on the tip of the toe. I am also missing 2 wedding ring sets. 1) (Zales) Consists of 5 rings total 1 ring is a flawless 1/2 kt tear drop solitaire, 2 gold bands and 2 gold anniversary bands with diamonds covering the top portion of the rings only. 2) (Helzberg) Bridal Set - White Gold with 3 sets of 4 diamonds each that form a square to give the ring an illusion of being 3 large stones. One set on top that is larger than the two on each side. I have several other items I could post, but these are the most valuable to me. Please - if anyone comes across these items, I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks so much.

My wife and I recently returned from Phoenix and after a couple of days she realized her jewelry bag that she was traveling with was nowhere to be found. She believes the jewelry was in her bag up until we got to the rental car return. She had in the bag a vintage platinum and diamond necklace, platinum and diamond bracelet with heart shapes, 2 platinum rings(one with a floral pattern and the other here wedding band with filigree work on the sides) and several pearl necklaces not to mention some random costume jewerly. Does anyone know how best to track down lost/stolen jewelry? Any recommendations on who to call in Phoenix and or Dallas to track down such items? regards
